The Red Hat Financial Services team is looking for a Solutions Architect to join us. In this role, you will advise customers on how to overcome enterprise developer challenges by using Red Hat's technologies to adopt modern development practices, such as DevOps, microservices, and continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD), including Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS).
Primary job responsibilities Act as a technical resource for the Sales team and provide presales support for Red Hat Process Automation Manager, Red Hat Decision Manager, Red Hat Fuse (integration platform), Red Hat AM-Q (messaging) Collaborate with our Sales and Technical Delivery teams to provide our customers the best technical solutions Conduct regular demonstrations of Red Hat technologies and products to sales prospects Scope evaluations and lead prospects through successful technical evaluations and proofs of concepts Work closely with internal product teams, Product Engineering, Professional Services, Support, and Sales to ensure a successful customer experience Develop and maintain content that enables Red Hat to sell and support Red Hat solutions at scale Contribute to building best practices, repeatable methodologies, and tools in sales and engineering Demonstrate leadership in IT management by producing white papers, webinars, and speaking at conferences Research and write responses to technical sections of Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Request for Information (RFIs); and create Return on Investment (ROI) documents, technical best practices documents, technical competitive guides, and white papers
Required skills Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role Must have five (5) years of experience with: Java development technologies experience in two of the following: Spring Boot, WildFly Swarm, or JEE and one of the following: Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform, WildFly, Oracle WebLogic, or IBM WebSphere; application build automation tools like Apache Maven, Jenkins, and Git; Red Hat Enterprise Linux server deployment; explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences and presenting key business and technical value for a given solution architecture; presenting to non-technical and technical audiences, including C-level executives; and one of the following: Red Hat Process Automation Manager, Red Hat Decision Manager, Red Hat Fuse (integration platform), Red Hat AM-Q (messaging) or competitive equivalent such as IBM WebSphere or Oracle Weblogic Must have three (3) years of experience with: DevOps, continuous integration (CI) and continuous development (CD), microservices, and application containerization; Java development frameworks with at least three of the following: Spring, Netflix OSS, Eclipse Vert.X; or play and experience with two of the following technologies: NodeJS, Ruby, PHP, Go, or .NET development Must have two (2) years of experience with: architecting at least one of the following Financial Services Systems: Pricing Risk analytics, Anti Money Laundering, Open Banking, Compliance systems, Retail Banking, Capital Markets, Payment Systems, Front Office, Mid Office, or Back Office Travel required up to 75% of the time; all expenses paid by Red Hat, Inc.
